About the Team

Josephine Farram
Born and raised in Sydney, Josephine is a fourth-year Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation student focusing on marketing, advertising, financial management and business innovation. As part of her studies, she travelled to Vietnam for a United Nations Sustainable Development Goals study tour to gain experience in an emerging economy context. Josephine recently completed a marketing internship with local companies, focusing on social media and brand marketing. She has a passion for connecting people and enjoys assisting others in her role as a Surf Life Saver on one of Sydney’s beaches. Josephine plans to pursue a career in local and international businesses.

Jamie Laskovski
Jamie is a second-year Bachelor of Accounting co-op student, majoring in finance and accounting. He recently completed a 6-month internship at Australia’s largest global investment bank, Macquarie Group, where he worked in financial control. Jamie has a strong interest in the latest financial news, especially equity markets and mergers & acquisitions. He also has a passion for playing football, having represented both college and club at the state level. On the weekend, Jamie enjoys going fishing with friends and eating dessert.

Nelson Ma (Coach)
Nelson is an accounting lecturer at University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He received his PhD in 2016, focused on the regulation of auditing services in Australia, and currently researches issues relating to corporate governance, auditing and accounting regulation. Nelson’s research has been published in a number of international accounting journals and has been featured in Australian media outlets. He teaches various accounting subjects at the postgraduate and undergraduate level, including corporate reporting, auditing, and business valuation.

Dua Kashany
Dua was born and raised in Sydney. She is a second-year Bachelor of Business student, specialising in finance and economics. Her recent experience representing UTS at the National P&G CEO Challenge helped her cultivate a holistic approach to developing high-level business strategies. Dua has a particular interest in the inclusion of ethics and sustainability in business models and enjoys collaborating with others in the ideation process. She loves to travel, and is both a Seinfeld enthusiast and self-proclaimed cat whisperer. Dua plans to pursue a career in finance and international business.

James Mahon
James is a fourth-year Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Science in IT student, majoring in accounting and data analytics. He recently completed an internship at PwC, where he provided support to companies entering the Australian market and worked on a social impact project focused on reorganising the firm’s CSR initiatives. James previously interned at a major civil engineering contractor while regularly competing in a myriad of Australian pitching and case crack competitions. In his spare time, he serves as President of the UTS chapter of student social entrepreneurship organisation Enactus, where he oversees the scaling-up of student-led social enterprise startups.
