About the Team

Zoltán TÓTH.  Raised in Szombathely near Hungary’s western border, Zoltán is a second-year Business IT student. He serves as Vice President of the Lámfalussy Sándor Szakkollégium, where he supports student initiatives and academic and professional development within the community. Passionate about finance and technology, Zoltán has competed in national and international case competitions, including representing his team at the 2025 Lazaridis International Case Competition in Waterloo, Canada. Alongside his studies, he works in a finance role at a startup and is motivated by opportunities to turn data and strategy into real business impact.

Noémi Fanni PAPP.  Born and raised in Budapest, Noémi is a third-year Business Informatics student specializing in Logistics. She is a proud member of the Lámfalussy Sándor Szakkollégium and serves as captain of the university’s women’s volleyball team. Noémi will study as an exchange student at Kobe University in Japan, supported by a competitive scholarship awarded last year. She has extensive experience in national and international case competitions, including a 2nd-place finish in the European Region of the 2024 Global Sustainability Supply Chain Student Competition. In her free time, she tutors students of all ages, primarily in mathematics. Her interests include technology, innovation, problem-solving, business management, and travel.

Dorottya Anna DARÁNYI.  Raised in Kecskemét, Hungary, Dorottya is a third-year Business Informatics student specializing in Business Data Analytics. She is a dedicated member of the Lámfalussy Sándor Szakkollégium and has participated in several domestic and international case study competitions, including the 2024 Global Sustainability Supply Chain Student Competition, where her team placed second in the Europe Region. Dorottya also completed an exchange program in the tri-country region of Germany, France, and Switzerland, gaining valuable insight into intercultural business management. She is now seeking opportunities to further develop her analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills.

Balázs NÁNÁSI.  Raised in Orosháza near Hungary’s eastern border, Balázs is a second-year Business IT student. He serves as Vice President of the Lámfalussy Sándor Szakkollégium, overseeing the organization’s internal and external communications. He recently assisted in organizing and delivering the national controlling case study competition and has participated in national case competitions focused on strategic problem-solving and IT-driven business solutions. Balázs is passionate about digital innovation, data-driven strategy, and corporate efficiency, and plans to build a career at the intersection of technology and business management.


  • Csaba ILYÉS (Coach).  Csaba is Associate Professor at the Budapest University of Economics and Business, where he teaches management control, management accounting, and related subjects. His primary teaching and research interests revolve around the impact of digitalization on management control practices. Prior to his academic career he held management control and leadership roles in the banking and corporate sectors. Csaba regularly serves as a coach in international business case competitions and values the opportunity to help and support student teams in developing analytical and decision-making skills. Outside of his academic work, he enjoys gardening and travel..
